The house
Romance House publishes four authors across five series: 32 books, 2,073,197 words, none yet in print.
Four names that do not share a shelf
The four pen names are not a marketing flourish. A reader who wants a heat-5 dark mafia romance and a reader who wants a closed-door bookshop mystery are not the same reader, and putting both on one shelf serves neither. So this shop has no house-wide catalogue: the front page is five doors, and each one opens onto that author's books alone. Nothing cross-sells across an incompatible name, ever.
What every book here promises
- Every romantic or sexual character is 25 or older, and ages are stated early in the text.
- The couple is the A-plot. A sex scene that could be deleted without changing the relationship gets cut or restaged.
- Every romance ends with the couple together — a happy ending or a firm happy-for-now. Series plots stay open between books; the couple never does.
- No family or step-family pairings. Forbidden means power, secrets or law.
- Content warnings are on the book's page and on its copyright page, and they do not spoil the ending.
Read before you buy
Every book here has its entire first chapter on this site — 165,577 words of finished manuscript, free, with no email address asked for. If a book is not for you, the first chapter is where you should find that out, not after it has been printed.
One book, every format
Buying the paperback or the hardcover gets you the ebook as well, free, and the audiobook on the titles we have finished recording. A reader who wants the shelf copy and the phone copy should not have to buy the book twice. What that costs, and when it arrives.
What is not for sale
Some books in this catalogue are finished and still not sold. A series on hold at the house shows its covers and its facts and no price, because a shop that quietly hides a book it will not sell is lying by omission.
